Pastor J.D. Bellamy is a native of the Nichols/Lakeland area in Central Florida. He is a graduate of George Jenkins High school in Lakeland. He is currently pursuing his bachelors degree in Political Science as well as Theology at Southeastern University.
Pastor Bellamy began serving and ministering in Church at a very young age. Preaching his first sermon under the guidance of Pastor E.J. Smith, he was called into the ministry at the age of 7. at the age of 12 he was officially licensed. he has been actively involved in all aspects of ministry through music, youth leadership, education and preaching.
Pastor Bellamy founded The New beginnings Church of Lakeland, Inc., in January of 2015. he now serves under Pastor Paula White at New Destiny Christian Center. Pastor Bellamy says, "J.D. Bellamy Ministries is committed to seeking and saving those who are lost, helping the helpless and bringing hope to those who are hopeless. We strive to transcend all denominational boundaries by dwelling together in unity through the love of Jesus the Christ." He is passionate about reaching the local community to share the love of Christ, believing that, through God, we can all "begin again."
